Syria Daily:SDF Kicks IDPs Out of Amuda

A. General Syria News

President Bashar Al Assad received in Damascus Thierry Mariani, member of the European Parliament. The regime’s news agency SANA said Assad discussed with Mariani the grave situation on the ground in Syria and answered the questions of Marian and the accompanying delegation.

B. Regime-held Territory

The Forth Division in the regime’s army sent new reinforcements towards Dara Al Balad. The reinforcements included land to land rockets.

C. Turkish Influence Territory (Afrin, Azaz, Al Bab, Jarablus, Tal Abyad, Ras Al Ayn)

Jarablus: Clashes erupted between SDF and SNA in the area east of Jarablus, west of Manjib. SDF were trying to advance towards the SNA-held territories. The Turkish army supported the SNA and fired heavy artillery on the SDF positions in Mannig and Tal Rifat.

Afrin: On the other hand, a Kurdish group that calls itself “Afrin Liberation Forces” announced the killing of five Turkish soldiers and three SNA fighters in Afrin in the period between August 14 and 19.

D. SDF-held Northeast Syria (Most of Raqqa and Hasaka, part of Deir Ezzor, parts of Aleppo: Manbij, Ayn Al Arab\Kobani, Tal Rifa’at.)

SDF asked dozens of IDP families in Amuda to leave the city. The families were given a week to pack and leave, otherwise SDF would kick them out by force. The IDPs come from Deir Ezzor and southern Hasaka areas. SDF had earlier kicked IDPs from Hama and Homs.
